Background
WEBBER, Thomas Wingfield was born May 10, 1836. Son of Reverend Thomas Webber of Leckfield, Company Sligo, and Frances, daughter of Reverend Thomas Kelly of Kellyville, Queen’s Company; grandson of Dan. Webb Webber, Queen’s Council, Member of Parliament for Armagh, 1816, of Leckfield; also on his mother’s side of Elizabeth Tighe of Rosanna, Company Wicklow.

Studied at Trinity College, Dublin; A.B.
Career
Went to India; employed in the Public Works Department, N.W.P., at engineering work constructing the road from Nainee Tal in the Himalayas to the plains; subsequently as Forest Surveyor for the N.W.P. and Central India mapping and reporting on Forests, including those of the Snowy Range.
Subsequently in Goruckpore and at Hashungabad he acted as Forest Deputy Conservator of those divisions; retired, 1871; returned to Ireland, 1873.
