Bachelor of Arts, Hampden-Sidney College, 1871. Studied at university of Virginia and Leipzig. Theology at Edinburgh, and Union Theological Seminary, Virginia.

Career

Ordained Presbyterian ministry, 1878. In mission work among the Greeks in Athens and Thessalonica, 1878-1892. Secretary foreign missions, 1892-1894.
