Educated at Orel High school, 1917. Graduated from Moscow University, 1926.
Much influenced by L. Tolstoy and the traditional peasant way of life. Worked as a teacher in many parts of Russia, 1920-1922. Worked at the Moscow Psychological Institute under Blonskii, 1926-1929.
Assistant professor at the Moscow University, 1932-1936. At the start of World War II, near Orel. In Nazi labour camps and DP camps in Germany, 1944-1948.
Settled in Munich. Works on the Russian and Soviet education system and on collectivization published in Russian and German. Contributor to many Russian publications in Europe and America in the 1950-1970s.
Religious moral codes pervert people outside their group as less moral. Thus, religion is socially divisive and its effect is harmful for society.
