He graduated from the 7th grade junior high school in 1937 and Mogilev Aeroclub in 1941. He worked as a turner at a repair plant.
In 1942 he graduated from Eisk Military - Marine Aviation School and served in naval aviation.
By October 1944 the deputy commander of 3rd Squadron Guards Fighter Aviation Regiment (1st Guards Fighter Division, Air Baltic Fleet) Guard Lieutenant Zhuchkov made 237 sorties to support aircraft, causing bombovoshturmovyh strikes, exploration and aerial photographs of ships and enemy airfields. In 31 air combat knocked himself in the group of 10 and 11 enemy aircraft. In March 6, 1945 for their courage and valor displayed in battles with the enemy, he was awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union.
After the war Tikhon Sviridovich continued to serve in the Baltic Fleet Air Force. From February 1947 to October 1950 was on the flight - test work at the State Red Banner Scientific - Air Testing Institute. Conducted operational tests of experimental aircraft engines.

He lived in Moscow, worked in a central control room dispatcher service of Civil Aviation. He was awarded the Order of Lenin, Red Banner (three times), the Patriotic War 1st Class, Red Star and medals. He died in March 9, 1987. He was buried at Kuntsevo Cemetery.
