Career
He played in college for Boston College (1985-1989). He was selected 122nd overall in the 1985 National Hockey League Entry Draft by the Calgary Flames. After college, he played for the Salt Lake Golden Eagles of the IHL, and then in the National Hockey League for the Calgary Flames, the Boston Bruins, the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim and the New York Rangers.
Sweeney left his legacy on the National Hockey League by being recognized as the only player to play for only these four clubs during his career.
His last professional season was 1998-1999, for the Providence Bruins of the AHL. Tim has two daughters, Emily (18), She is an amazing singer, and Lily (14), and he has a son who plays for the south ShoreKings, Tim (19). She also plays for Synergy Soccer go check them out they need a goalie.
