In 1936 Timon Vasilievich graduated from the Voronezh Institute of National Accounting.

Career

In 1954-1961 Timon Vasilievich was an employee of the Central Statistical Office of the USSR, chief editor of the Gosstatizdat (1948-1953). In 1954-1961 he was the head of the Economic Statistics Sector of the Institute of Economics. Head of the Statistics Sector, Deputy Director of the Institute of Economics of the World Social System (1961-1970).

Since 1970 Timon Vasilievich was the head of the Department of Demography and Statistics of the Central Economics and Mathematics Institute. Director of the Institute of Sociological Research of the USSR Academy of Sciences (1976-1983). Deputy Director of the Institute of Economics and Forecasting of Scientific and Technical Progress (since 1983). At the same time, Timon Vasilievich was the head of the Department of Statistics of the Moscow Institute of Management (1970-1985).
