Member Fulham Vestry, 1895 - 1900. Elected member of first Borough Council, later Aiderman. Mayor of Fulham, 1901-1902.
Elected member of London County Council 1901 and 1904. Member of Parliament (Liberal) Fulham since 1906; member London County Council, Justice of the Peace.
