He gained prominence through touring with Don Henley and the Eagles, later serving as Whitesnake's keyboardist and vocalist. Timothy Drury was born on July 5, 1961, in Los Angeles, California, and was raised there. He is the son of actor James Drury, known for starring in the television western The Virginian, and Cristall Orton Drury. His older brother is James Drury III.

Career
Drury began his professional songwriting career as a staff writer with Warner Chappell Music before gaining his major touring breakthrough in 1989, when he joined Don Henley's band for The End of the Innocence tour. Henley's touring ensemble supported the solo artist's album and concerts during a period when album-centered rock touring remained a central part of the music business. Drury worked as a keyboardist, guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter.
From 1994 to 2000, Drury toured with the Eagles during the group's Hell Freezes Over reunion period. The Eagles were one of the most commercially successful American rock bands, and their reunion brought together the group's established repertoire with a new generation of concert production. Drury also performed on tours associated with Joe Walsh, Glenn Frey, Bryan Adams, Melissa Etheridge, and Stevie Nicks.
Drury joined Whitesnake in 2003 as keyboardist and vocalist and toured internationally with the band until September 2010.
