Career
After growing up in San Diego and Upland, California, and majoring in Filmmaking at Pitzer College in Claremont, California, Olague headed for Hollywood soon after graduation and was a frequent invitee on television dating shows such as The Love Connection and A Perfect Score. Olague also found work as a freelance, television Sports Reporter and interviewed both Don King and Julio Cesar Chavez after his first loss to Oscar De Louisiana Hoya. Meanwhile, Olague soon began promoting some of the earliest Latin hip hop acts including Mellow Manitoba Ace and A Lighter Shade of Brown.
Through Timothy Olague Entertainment, produced concerts at California, Arizona, and Nevada Casinos in the 1990s featuring headliners such as Keith Sweat, Ray Charles, Enrique Iglesias, Freddy Fender (The King of Tex-Mex), Rick James (prison release concert tour) and Roger Troutman of Zapp and Roger (talkbox legend).
The Concert Promoter also produced a decade of Concerts in the greater Joplin, Missouri area, in 2001–2011 featuring acts such as The Bellamy Brothers, David Clayton-Thomas of Blood Sweat and Tears, Pat Green, Hermans Hermits and Joe Diffie. On July 4, 2011, Rush Limbaugh, a Missouri native, attended the Joe Diffie concert at an annual event celebrated by Joplin, Missouri, at Landreth Park, less than two months after the 2011 Joplin Tornado and the radio icon remains a force in the 2011 Joplin Tornado rebuilding initiative.
Over 40,000 people were in attendance for the concert. Since 1994, Olague has released Aztlan Priceless Music (BMI) content through his own label, Mayan Records.
In 1998, Mayan released Mayan All Stars, a compilation of Rhythm & Blues and Hip-Hop recordings featuring Chulo, TearDrop (both of A Lighter Shade of Brown), and the Creeps.
Mayan All Stars was originally pressed and distributed worldwide by Mayan Records/BMG United States Latin and is currently regarded as rare, campy, and hard to find. A digital re-release is scheduled for February 2013. On July 27, 2012, Olague"s publishing company participated in the release of CAMERA TRUTH"South "Psycho Acoustics" release, as BMI Publisher of 5 of 6 songs on the extended European Parliament, which features a cover of Leonard Cohen"s "Bird on a Wire." In addition, original Mayan Records" recording artists "CHULO", "TEARDROP", and "TIMOTHY East. RUSSELL": "K.A.T" (formerly "Known As Tim", of THE CREEPS) continue to release music

As of 2012, Important Pictures is now a privately held company, owned by: The Coronado Company—based in Olague"s hometown of Coronado, California. The Coronado Company owns several film rights.
From 1994–1996, Olague skated professional Roller Derby for the Los Angeles Aztecs and the Hollywood Stars of the now-defunct, Roller Derby United States of America skating league. Since then, Olague has contracted for the appearance of the Roller Derby sport in Sony Pictures" "Charlie"s Angels II: Full Throttle," Columbia Broadcasting System" "Computer Society of India New York," and National Broadcasting Company"s "Average Joe.".
