Education Lakey earned his Bachelor of Science degree from and his Juris Doctor degree from Lewis & Clark Law School.
Achievements 2012 With Republican Senator Curtis McKenzie redistricted to district 13, Lakey ran for the open seat in the May 15, 2012 Primary election against Representative Robert E. Schaefer, winning with 1,975 votes (614%), and won the November 6, 2012 General election with 9,976 votes (677%) against Democratic nominee Melissa Robinson. 2002 When Idaho Attorney General Alan G. Lance announced he would not run again, Lakey was one of four Republicans who ran in the May 28, 2002 Primary election. He came in 3rd with 29,154 votes (235%), losing to Lawrence Wasden, who won the general election.
