Background
Educationist. His pseudonym was Ryiiho. Born in Hyogo Prefecture, he graduated from Kokumin English Language School
(1905), was trained by Kenjiro Fujii at the Pedagogic Research Society and became an editor of the Dobunkan Publishing House.
Became editor-in-chief of the Shojo-no Tomo, a girls' magazine published by the Hakubunkan. Resigning (1921), he became a teacher at the Shoei Girls' Higher School.
