東次郎 佐野
Tojiro Sano graduated from the Civil Engineering Department, Tokyo University. Doctor of Engineering.
Tojiro Sano was appointed an engineer attached to the Osaka Municipal Office. He was appointed an engineer of the Civil Engineering Supervisory Office and masterminded the construction of the waterworks system of Kobe City (1899-1905). Was appointed chief engineer of Kobe City (1911).
After retiring from public service, he joined the Daido Electric Power Company and directed the building of the Oi River dam. He subsequently became a director of the Nobi Electric Company and president of the Japan Waterworks Hygiene Company.
