Tokuko Ogawa was born in 1840.

Career

Tokuko Ogawa settled in Kurume district, Fukuoka Prefecture in 1866. In 1867 he commenced cotton fabric manufacturing and gave classes in the weaving technique.

Achievements

• Tokuko Ogawa is the creator of the well-known Kurume striped cloth.
