Tom Negrino was born in 1957, in the United States.
Tom Negrino began his writing career in 1985 with MacGuide Magazine, joining the Macworld Magazine in 1987. From 1990 to 2004 Tom was a contributor editor. He wrote about everything from upgrading your Mac to Web design and presentation software. Tom's articles appeared in several other magazines. He was a leading figure in the Macintosh movement in Southern California. A frequent speaker at Macworld Expo and other computer trade shows, Tom taught seminars on Mac and Windows software.
He was the author or co-author of dozens of books, including Macromedia Contribute 3 for Windows and Macintosh: Visual QuickStart Guide, the forthcoming Dreamweaver 8: Visual QuickStart Guide, and the best-selling JavaScript for the World Wide Web: Visual QuickStart Guide.

2006Physical Characteristics: Tom was born with spina bifida, a defect in the backbone and membranes that surround the spinal cord. He was diagnosed with kidney cancer in 2010, and despite surgery, cancer reappeared in 2014, having metastasized all over his body.
Tom Negrino was married to Dori Smith. The couple had a son, Sean.
