Career

Sallinen has previously spent the entirety of his career with hometown club, Espoo Blues of the Finnish Liiga. On April 11, 2014, Sallinen left the Blues to sign a one-year contract in Sweden with Leksands IF of the SHL. Leksand was relegated in the 2014-2015 SHL season, and Sallinen signed with Djurgårdens IF in April 2015.
