Career
In 1918 he entered Agricultural Experimental Station of Agriculture & Forestry Ministry and then served as chief engineer at Iwate and Tochigi Agricultural Experimental Stations and director of Nagasaki Prefectural Agricultural Experimental Station.
He became professor of Tokyo Nogyo Kyoiku Semmon Gakko (Tokyo College of Agricultural Education), principal of Tokyo Young Men's Normal School and president of Fukuoka Agricultural College and thereafter became professor and councilor of Saga University (since 1951). Toured Europe and America inspecting agricultural industry (1928 - 1930).
