Mello received a Doctor of Philosophy degree from the University of Florence in 2004.
Career
Mello began his career as a postdoctoral fellow of the department of biochemistry and molecular biology at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis in 2003. A year later he took a position of a researcher at Pharmacogenomic Foundation FiorGen.
Since 2006 Tommaso has been a researcher of the department of biomedical, experimental and clinical sciences at the University of Florence.
Tommaso actively participates in several multidisciplinary research projects in oncology, pharmacology & neuroscience, endocrinology and metabolism.
