After studying at Tokyo in 1893, Tomojiro Kusuuchi went on to graduate from Sino-Japanese Trade Research Institute, Shanghai.
The following year with the outbreak of Sino-Japanese War Tomohiro Kusuuchi was made a secret agent by the Japanese Army, but was taken prisoner and put to death by the Chinese outside Nanking Castle.
