After graduating from Keio University in 1924, Tomomatsu Entai proceeded to Heidelberg and Sorbonne universities for studies and then upon return served for awhile with the Taisho and Keio universities.
Tomomatsu Entai was a director of the Meiji Buddhism Compilation Office and of the International Buddhist Association. He was once chief editor of a religious magazine "Truth". He was a chief priest at Kandaji Temple, Tokyo. His works: "Outline of Buddhism for Modern People" and "Religious Reader."
An advocate of fundamental Buddhism regardless of sects.
