He climbed the Eiger Nordwand in the age of seventeen and belongs to the youngest Nordwand climbers. He is deployed as a medical service soldier and army mountain guide in Kempten. He enjoys mountain climbing combined with mountain biking, skiing and others
In 2002, the United Nations International Year of Mountains, he and Walter Hölzler from Thalkirchdorf climbed over the three summits Piz Palü in a Hat-trick within 24 hours.
