Torahiko Tamiya was a Japanese author. Was well known for his historical novels. His Kiri-no-Naka (In the Fog ) won him instantaneous fame. Among his other representative works are Ashizuri-Misaki (Cape Ashizuri) and Moeru Soboku (Budding Verdure).
Torahiko Tamiya was born in 1911 Hyogo Prefecture, Japan.
Graduated from Tokyo University (1936) with a degree in Japanese literature. Studied under Fumio Niwa to become a professional writer.
