Did research on light absorption in colored media on the basis of electron theory. 1923-1926 studied fluctuations in the level of the water basins of the Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics. 1926, while in charge of photographic laboratory at State Optical Institute, supervised research on the nature of the latent photographic image.
Also studied the history of physics.
