On February 2, 2015, she reached her best singles ranking of world number 404. On June 15, 2015, she peaked at world number 927 in the doubles rankings. Black was runner-up at the junior 2013 United States Open, losing to Ana Konjuh in three sets.
Black made her Women's Tennis Association tour main draw debut at the 2014 Abierto Mexicano Telcel.
