Toshihide Watanabe graduated from Economics Department of Tokyo University in 1922.
Career
In 1922 Toshihide Watanabe entered Sumitomo & Company, Ltd. Then became chief of Labor Section of Personnel Department in 1935. Later on transferred to the old Sumitomo Communication Company (before its merger into the Nippon Electric Company) and after serving as director of General Affairs Department became director in 1944, managing director (1945) and then assumed post of president (1947).
