Graduated from Staff Officers College.
Career
After graduating from Staff Officers College was commissioned into the Imperial Array in 1887 and later sent to Germany for further military training from 1893 till 1895.
Upon return was appointed commander of 10th and 16th divisions successively, then commander-in-chief of Japanese Garrison in Korea and finally military councilor.
Was an authority on military strategy.
