Graduated from Politics & Economics Department of Tokyo University (1910).
Career
He entered Daiichi (First) Bank and became its managing director (1937) and chairman of Daiichi Shintaku (Trust) Company (1937). Thereafter served successively as chairman of Tokyo Chochiku (Savings ) Bank, managing director of Teikoku Bank, director of Naikoku Chokin (Internal Savings) Bank and Kokusai Steamship Company and president of Asahi Fire & Marine Insurance Company (since 1951).
Adviser of Toho Life Insurance Company and counselor of Kawasaki Aeronautical Industry Company. Books include Aka-tombo (The Red Dragonfly) and Kaiyu Zuilocm (Random Thoughts on My Acquaintance).
