Huong Giang made top 10 in Face Of The Year by globalbeauties.
She was the first Mission Vietnam entered top 10 Mission Grand Slam by Globalbeauties. Later she was announced as Mission Grand Slam Asia 2009 by Globalbeauties judges and finished as 6th place in Mission Grand Slam.

Huong Giang was the official representative of Vietnam in the pageant in South Africa where she placed in the Top 16. She is the 2nd runner-up of Mission Global Vietnam 2009, finalist top 10 in Mission Vietnam 2006 and winner of Mission Hai Duong 2006. Huong Giang is the first Mission Vietnam to ever place among the top 12 finalists of Mission World Beach Beauty competition which took place at Zimbali Resort, Kwazulu-Natal, Durban, South Africa on November 25, 2009 and became first runner-up in the Mission World Top Model competition. In early 2010, Huong Giang placed in Globalbeauties.com 2nd-runner up Sexiest woman Alive and won the title "Sexiest by Popular Award".
