Career

He received a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from Arkansas Technical University in Russellville, his original home city. Drown served in the United States Army and its Special Forces, popularly called the Green Berets, the United States Air National Guard, and the United States Air Force Reserve, dates of service not available. A small businessman, he was also formerly employed as a driver for United Parcel Service.

In 2010, Drown was the Libertarian Party nominee for the United States Senate from Arkansas.

In the 2015 legislative session, Republican House member Nate Bell of Mena joined with the African-American Democrat Charles Blake of Little Rock in an unsuccessful effort to sever Martin Luther King Day and the Robert East. Victory went to John Boozman, the Republican nominee and an outgoing member of the United States House of Representatives from Arkansas"s 3rd congressional district.
