He is the current chief executive officer (Chief Executive Officer) of the West Coast Eagles in the Australian Football League (American Federation of Labor-Congress). Nisbett was born and raised in Bunbury, Western Australia. He attended the University of Western Australia in Perth, graduating with a Bachelor of Physical Education and a Graduate Diploma of Education.
After serving as Football Manager of the East Perth Football Club for two years, Nisbett became involved with the West Coast Eagles in 1989, when he was appointed Football Manager of the club
In 1999, Nisbett was appointed Chief Executive Officer of the West Coast Eagles, replacing Brian Cook.
He is also a deupty chairman of the David Wirrpanda Foundation and a member of the board of Foodbank Washington.
