My first two papers were concerned with problems in mathematical economics. These were the existence of equilibrium in an economy with infinitely many commodities and the convergence of an economy to the set of equilibria as the number of traders is allowed to go to infinity. After this, I worked with Kohlberg on the theory of stochastic
games.
Our main result was that such games have an asymptotic value when future payoffs are not discounted. Most of my papers since my work with Kohlberg have been concerned with intertemporal general equilibrium theory. My intention is to apply the methods of general equilibrium theory to macroeconomic questions.
