1894 began revol activities in Warsaw. Later worked in Khar’kov as party organizer and propagandist. 1900 fled abroad; in Zurich joined "Liberation of Labor" group.
1902-1903 agent of lskra August 1904 sent by Lenin to work in Tiflis, then in Baku. Repeatedly arrested and jailed. Participated in 1905-1907 Revol and 1917 February and October Revol.
After October Revol worked in Moscow' as secretary, Labor Control Commission. Member of commission to organize Moscow Economic Council. Head. Military Department, Moscow Russian Communist Party (Bolsheviks) Committee.
Assistant head, Organization(s) Department, Central Committee, Russian Communist Party (Bolsheviks). From 1922 worked for Commission for Party History, Sverdlov Communist University, Lenin Institute and Communist International Executive Committee. Repeatedly elected to Moscow Control Commission.
From 1939 pensioner.
