Began his career with Hattori Watch Company, rising to become its director and soon became an influential person in the spinning industry of Cnukyo (Central Japan) District. Was chairman of the board of directors oi Nagoya Cotton Exporters Association and member of the experts committee in Ministry of Commerce and Industry. Is presently president of Kowa Spinning Company and a director of Nagoya Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
