Graduated from Law Department of Keio University and entered Furukawa Electrical Engineering Company (1919).
Served at Yokohama Electric Wire Manufactory, the head office and Honjo Copper Rolling Plant of the same company. Became acting chief of Accounting Section of Nikko Electrical Copper Refining Station and after successive promotions became counselor of Furukawa Denki Kogyo Kaisha (Furukawa Electrical Industry Company) and superintendent of Nikko Denki Seidosho (Nikko Electrical Copper Refining Station) (since 1949). Holds various additional posts including those of permanent director of Nikkeiren (Federation of Japan Employers' Associations) and chairman of Tochigi Prefectural Social Insurance Association and Tochigi Prefectural Employers’ Association.
