He proceeded to Europe for further study of mathematics.
After graduating from Kyoto University (1916), taught at the Seventh Higher School in Kagoshima and appointed instructor at Tohoku University (1920) to eventually become a professor (1934). Retired due to his age and became an emeritus professor (1950). Professor at Yokohama Municipal University (since 1952). Is the author of some 140 dissertations in both Japanese and European languages on various aspects of mathematics. Among his works are "Advanced Solid Geometry", "Advanced Differential and Infinitesimal Calculus" and " An Outline of Analytical Geometry".
He Was a member of International Mathematicians' Society.
