Tsutomu Kurita and his father-in-law completed his uncle's incomplete Dai Nihonshi (History of Great Japan) in 1899. After this lectured and taught Mitogaku (learning promoted by Mito Clan) for 30 years. One of his lectures at Kodokan School was attended by the Emperor.
