Career
She is a student of physical education and sports at the local Erciyes University. The 169 cm (5 ft 7 in) tall athlete weighs 55 kg (121 lb). She is the older of two sisters.
She began running at the age of 12.
Koyuncu competed at the 1500 m event at the 2012 Summer Olympics where she failed to reach the semifinals. At the 2013 Mediterranean Games in Mersin, Turkey, she took two bronze medals, one in the 800 m and the other in the 1500 m event.
