He attended Talas and Tarsus American College in Turkey and graduated from Middle East Technical University, Department of Economics in 1968. He worked in projects of State Institute of Statistics while he was a student. He received his master degree from Yale University and PhD from Rice University in USA in 1973. He died in August 15, 1975 due to cancer.
