At the order of Emperor Meiji, Ujihiro Okuma made a silver statue of the Emperor's favorite steed on the occasion of the silver jubilee of the Emperor's wedding. He was responsible for the archetypes of the bronze statues of Masujiro Omura, the first War Minister, Prince Taruhito Arisugawa-no-Miya, Prince Akihito Komatsu-no-Miya and other Imperial princes. Was a judge of the Education Ministry's Fine Arts Exhibition.
