Ujinobu Komparu was credited with having perfected the Noh drama and raising it to the level of an art. Regarded as the father of Komparu school of Noh, he was commissioned by the Shogun to compose 66 pieces of music to accompany a Noh drama, which was subsequently staged at the Imperial Court and at Kasuga Shrine (Nara).
