1902 graduate Baku high school. 1908 graduate Medical Faculty, Kiev University.
1908-1921 intern, Kiev surgical clinics, then head, surgical department of various hospitals. 1915-1918 chief physician, Kiev’s Number 1 Hospital, League of Cities. Late 1921 moved to Arm to become head, Surgical Department, Yerevan Military Hospital.
From 1922 head, Surgical Department, Yerevan 2nd Hospital. Until 1937 chief physician, above hospital. Specialized in brain and spinal operations.
1927 successfully removed bullet from thick cardiac muscle. From 1924 founder-head, Chair of Operative Surgery and Topographical Anatomy, Medical Faculty, Yerevan University. 1929 founded another surgical department at Yerevan University.
1929 sent to Paris to study experience of French surgical clinics. 1933-1936 head, Chair of Hospital Surgery, Medical Faculty, Yerevan University. 1936 abandoned teaching on health grounds and headed Surgical Department, Yerevan Red Cross Hospital.
