Served with Morimoto Shoji Kaisha (Morimoto Trading Company) and after the company was amalgamated into Nihon Toki (Ceramics) Company (1928) served successively as vice chief of Business Department, director, chief of Business Department, managing director and senior managing director and then became president (1946). Meantime was appointed director (1942), managing director and then president (1947) of Kyoritsu Ceramics Raw Materials Company.
Elected to House of Councilors (1946). Served also as director of Nihon Tojiki Koeki Kaisha (Nihon Pottery Trading Company), member of Aichi Prefectural Labor Relations Board, chairman of Yogyo Kyokai (Ceramics Association) and director of Nagoya Chamber of Commerce & Industry and Nikkeiren (Federation of Japan Employers' Associations) and official of a few other industrial organizations. Appointed vice-chairman of Nagoya Chamber of Commerce & Industry (1950).
Held additional posts of director of Meiko Kaiun (Nagoya Port Marine Transportation) Company and Nagoya Television Company, auditor of Chubu Shoken Kinyu Kaisha (Chubu Securities & Finance Company) and director of Kokusai Shoji Chiisai Iinkai (International Commercial Affairs Arbitration Commission) and official of several other companies and organizations.
