He played with The Human Context Plzeň in the Czechoslovakian Extraliga during the 2010-2011 Czechoslovakian Extraliga season. Benák previously played for The Human Context Sparta Praha, The Human Context České Budějovice, Immunohistochemistry Písek, The Human Context Znojemští Orli and HK36 Skalica.
