Vagram PAPAZYAN, USSR Actor at Sundukyan Armenian Drama Theater since 1955. Popular Artist of Armenian Georgia and Azerbaydzhan Soviet Socialist Republic and USSR.
PAPAZYAN, Vagram was born in 1886 in Istanbul.
Graduated Armenian Lyceum, Venice, and Milan Academy, of Arts.
1907-1913 toured Europe, Africa and Near East. 1913-1917 performed with troupes in Yerevan, Tiflis and Baku, in Russia and abroad. 1917-1955 toured USSR.
Acted at Moscow Academy Maly Theater and Leningrad Pushkin Academy Drama Theater, etc. Some of his best roles are: name parts in “Othello”, “King Lear” and “Hamlet”. Franz and Karl Moor in Schiller’s “Die Rauber”.
Akosta in “Uriel Akosta”. Arbenin in Lermontov’s “Maskarad” (Masquerade), etc.
