He is a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society and the Royal Asiatic Society, and an alumnus of the Environmental Change Institute at the University of Oxford. His geophotography and ethnographic photography collections have been exhibited by American Geophysical Union Blogosphere, India International Centre, India Habitat Centre and People"s Archive of Rural India. His research sites include Lahaul, Kedarnath and North Sikkim in the Indian Himalayas.
