Career
She is currently playing for Azerrail Baku. Born in Baku, Valeriya first played volleyball at age nine and joined the school volleyball team Mammadova is best known for her distinctive defensive skills and tenacious play.
She played 180 times for the Azerbaijan women"s national volleyball team and was awarded the best libero of 2005 Women"s European Volleyball Championship s Lokomotiv Baku (2000–2001) Azerrail Baku (2001–2007) Voléro Zürich (2007) Azerrail Baku (2007–2008) Fenerbahçe Acıbadem (2008–2009) Azerrail Baku (2009–2013) Azerrail Baku (2015–Present).
