She currently lives in London and Coached by Tom Bennett from T2Coaching and is supported by Jon Roberts (South&C) and Street Marys University College (Physiology). She is currently ranked 34th in the World Triathlon Series after season high 15th place at Kitzbuhel and 18th-place finishes at Stockholm. She will be representing GBR at the London Grand Final in September 2013.

Over the 5 years 2006 to 2010, Vanessa Raw took part in 26 International Telecommunication Union competitions and achieved 8 top ten positions, among which 3 medals. After the first and successful triathlon year in 2006 Raw suffered a setback because of a knee injury in 2007 but she eventually managed to reconcile high performance triathlon, painting and the degree course in Fine Art, which she finished at Loughborough University in 2009, the year in which she also won two silver and a bronze medal at (Premium) European Cups.
