Vikram is a brave and honest police inspector who is decisive about right and wrong. Vedha is a criminal who understands the grey shades between good and evil. Vikram leads an encounter unit formed to eliminate Vedha. In one encounter, the squad kills some of Vedha's henchmen, framing the death of a criminal killed by Vikram to avoid further inquiry. When Santhanam, one of the members, is nervous about this, Vikram calms him by saying that he sleeps peacefully, knowing that the men he shot were criminals. As the unit plans another encounter, Vedha enters the police station and surrenders. When Vikram interrogates Vedha, he offers to tell him a story.

Varalaxmi Sarathkumar is an Indian actress who works in Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada cinema. She started her career in 2012 with a role in the Tamil film Podaa Podi, and since then has appeared in seventeen more films. Starting from 2018 she also took part in three television shows.
Background
Varalaxmi Sarathkumar was born on March 5, 1985, in Bangalore, Karnataka, India, to the actor Sarathkumar and his wife Chaya. Her stepmother is the actress Raadhika. Sarathkumar is the eldest of four children, with a younger sister Pooja, a younger half-brother Rahul and step-sister Rayanne Hardy.
Education
Sarathkumar studied at St. Michael's Academy, Chennai. Later she graduated in Microbiology from Hindustan Arts and Science College, Chennai, and obtained the Master in Business Management degree from the University of Edinburgh. She honed her acting skills at Anupam Kher’s Acting School in Mumbai, before becoming a professional actress.
Sarathkumar signed on to star in Vignesh Shivan's romantic drama film Podaa Podi (2012) during June 2008, citing that the opportunity to portray a London-based dancer had excited her. The film went through a protracted development, taking four years to make, before being released in October 2012. Co-starring alongside Silambarasan, she won critical acclaim for her performance. The film also performed moderately at the box office, and performed particularly well in the multiplexes. Soon after the film's release, Sarathkumar worked on Sundar C's masala film Madha Gaja Raja, alongside Vishal, but the film remains unreleased owing to financial troubles.
Her second release was the Kannada film Maanikya (2014), alongside actor Sudeep, and the film went on to become amongst the most profitable Kannada films of the year. In 2014, she began filming for Bala's Tharai Thappattai (2016). In 2016, she announced on Twitter that she has been cast alongside Mammootty in the Malayalam film Kasaba. In her tweet, the actress said that the big opportunity to work alongside Mammootty came to her apparently due to her performance in the Tamil film Tharai Thappattai. Sarathkumar was also committed to starring in Aakasha Mittaayee, the Malayalam remake of the Tamil film Appa but left, citing the behaviour of its producers who she called "mannerless."
In 2018 Sarathkumar appeared in five Tamil films, including Echcharikkai and Sarkar. In 2019 she has already appeared in Neeya 2. Her latest film, Kanni Raasi, was released on September 13, 2019. She will also appear in seven more films, including Velvet Nagaram, Kaatteri and Danny.
Apart from her acting career, Sarathkumar appeared as herself in the Tamil TV show Enga Veetu Mapillai, and turned as a host for a TV show titled "Unnai Arindaal." In 2019 she made a guest appearance in episode 6 of the Telugu TV show High Priestess. She also works as a model and walked the ramp at various fashion shows.
Varalaxmi Sarathkumar is known today as a prominent Indian actress won critical acclaim for her performance. I appeal to our generation to play a proactive role in the development of our country,” she said.
