Career

One of the best players of his time, Stîngă played 216 times for Romania and scored 1414 goals. He is currently the player with most goals for the Romanian national team He played all six matches and scored 36 goals.

Achievements

• In 1980 he won the bronze medal as part of the Romanian team Four years later he was a member of the Romanian handball team which won again the bronze medal.
