1888 graduate Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture. Studied under V.Ye. Makovskiy, A.K. Savrasov and Volunteer Officers' Decoration Polenov. Career-, from 1893 with Association of Itinerant Art Exhibitions.
From 1894 instructor at higher and secondary art schools in Moscow. From 1922 member, Association of Artists of Revol Russia. 1917-1919 with Commission for the Preservation of Monuments of Art and the Past, Kremlin.
Works-. ’’Girl Feeding Pigeons" (1887). "Everyday Prose” (1892-1893). Landscapes: "The First Greenery” (1900).
"Blue Spring” (1930). "Road Into the Forest” (1935). "Zhiguli Mountains” (1946).
A number of his works are displayed at the Tret’yakov Gallery.
