Until 1922 worked on father’s farm. 1922-1926 factory worker. 1926-1931 in Red Army, then at Bryansk Rail Center, on Fokin-Volodarsky Rayon All-Union Communist Youth League Committee and Bryansk Okrug Communist Youth League Committee.
1933-1937 Secretary, Kuvintsevo and Blagoveshchensk City and Polotsk Okrug Communist Youth League Committee. 1927-1941 First Secretary, Zhlobin Rayon Committee, then Secretary, Baranovichi Oblast Committee, All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks). 1941-1944 Secretary, Baranovichi Oblast Underground Committee, All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks).
Simultaneously commanded partisan units in German rear. 1944-1950 Second Secretary, Baranovichi, then First Secretary, Brest and Minsk Oblast Committee, All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks). 1950-1951 First Secretary, Minsk Oblast and City Committee, All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks).
Simultaneously Secretary, Central Committee, Communist Party (Bolsheviks) Belarusian. 1951-1959 First Secretary, Kaliningrad Oblast Communist Party of the Soviet Union Committee.
